Presidents Cup Playoffs: Round Three – Game Three
Who: Saint John Sea Dogs vs Victoriaville Tigres

OH, OKAY
The Victoriaville Tigres have pulled out the cliché book for this one, calling tonight’s game the biggest of their season.

SEA DOGS LINEUP NOTES
As reported earlier this week, Kevin Gagne will miss tonight’s game with a knee injury and did not make the trip according to Tim Roszell. Gabriel Bourret will take his place on the blue line again.

Steven Anthony and his feeble groin are once again on the sidelines. Will Johnston will be inserted into the lineup.

Tyron Sock did not make the trip. Aiden Kelly and Chuckie Schembri will be healthy scratches.

PELLETIER INJURED
Victoriaville Tigres defenseman Pier-Luc Pelletier will not play tonight according to La Nouvelle/L’Union. The newspaper reports that Pelletier was hurt on Saturday during the Tigres’ 5-1 loss in Saint John.

The 18-year old played in 57 regular season games and recorded two goals and 10 assists. In the post-season, he has one assist in 12 games.

STILL STREAKING
If there is anything the Saint John Sea Dogs know how to do, it is long winning streaks.

Tonight, Saint John will try to win their 10th consecutive playoff game. Only five teams have done it before. The League record is 15 victories in a row set by the Hull Olympiques in 1986.

LOUD AND PROUD
In an interview on "The Drive" on News 88.9, Tim Roszell said that the Tigres are hoping for a sellout tonight. Rally towels will be given away.

SETTING UP THE FINAL
The Moncton Wildcats host the Drummondville Voltigeurs tonight in the other semi-final. The ‘Cats look to take a 3-0 series lead.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Stephen MacAulay turns 18-years old today. The Dartmouth native has one goal and four assists so far in the playoffs.

Today is also Adolf Hitler’s birthday. The Chicago Cubs played their first game at Wrigley Field in 1916 and the Boston Red Sox played their first game at Fenway Park in 1912.

THE EPIC JOURNEY FOR THE TIGRES
The following is from news889.com:

The Tigres have been in Victoriaville since 1987-88, but have only advanced passed the first round of the playoffs four times, most recently their President's Cup season of 2002.

This successful season has gone a long way in reviving the faith of the fan base, with a record set for home attendance.
