When you think about traditional and stereotypical music in Cape Breton, you’ll probably think of the Rankin Family or some other toe tapping fiddling fun with a hint of country added.

But this past summer, that was thrown out the window in Sydney when rapper and hip hop artist Snoop Dogg brought his rhyming skills to the Nova Scotia island.

But of course, when the Snoop is in town, you know he is going to give a little some-something back to the community. So there was Snoop Dogg, who has a net worth of $110 million American according to, performing on stage and rocking a Cape Breton Screaming Eagles jersey.

Here is some video evidence of the Snoop wearing his Eagles sweater while performing the song “Gin and Juice.”
