BOISBRIAND, Que. – A three-in-three Quebec road swing comes to an end today for the Saint John Sea Dogs.

The Sea Dogs kicked off the trip with an 8-4 victory over the Sherbrooke Phoenix on Friday night. Last night, Saint John struggled in a 6-2 loss to the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Today at 5pm the Dogs play their final game of the trip in Blainville-Boisbriand against the Armada.

Last night, Jonathan Huberdeau and Ryan Tesink scored Saint John’s only goals. The Sea Dogs kept it close until the third despite being outplayed for most of the game. Final shots on goal were 44-17 in favour of Drummondville. One of the positives was goaltender Alex Fournier who had a solid performance in the loss.

Sebastien Auger should be back between the pipes today after getting a rare game off last night. He is third overall among goaltenders in minutes played this season.

The Sea Dogs continue to be led offensively by Huberdeau who has 12 goals and 16 assists in 20 games.

Saint John enters action today with a 10-10-0-0 record and sit fifth in the Telus Maritimes Division and 13th overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Dogs are 5-5-0-0 in their last 10 games.

The Dogs will be in tough today as they will take on one of the best teams in the league. The Armada sit first overall in the Telus West Division and second overall in the QMJHL with a 14-5-0-2 record. They are 6-3-0-1 in their last 10 games.

Christopher Clapperton and Tommy Giroux each lead the Armada in scoring with 26 points each. Clapperton has a team high 13 goals while Xavier Ouellet leads the squad in assists with 17.

The Sea Dogs and Armada have met once previously this season with Blainville-Boisbriand winning 2-1.

LAST GAMES
The Sea Dogs are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Voltigeurs in Drummondville last night. Jonathan Huberdeau and Ryan Tesink scored for Saint John. The Sea Dogs fired just 17 shots on goal. Alex Fournier played well, making 38 saves in the loss.

The Armada are coming off a 9-4 win over the Moncton Wildcats on Friday night. Tommy Giroux scored twice while singles came from Samuel Hodhod, Marc-Olivier Roy, Philippe Sanche, Xavier Ouellet, Stefan Matteau, Christian Marti, and Samuel Carrier. Etienne Marcoux made 15 saves in 40 minutes of action while Storm Phaneuf made seven.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Sea Dogs are 0-1-0-0 against the Armada this season while Blainville-Boisbriand is 1-0-0-0 against Saint John.

The Sea Dogs and Armada met on Halloween at Harbour Station with the visitors posting a 2-1 win. Ryan Tesink scored for Saint John while Cedric Paquette and Tommy Giroux scored for Blainville-Boisbriand. Etienne Marcoux made 28 saves in the win while Sebastien Auger made 26 in the loss.
