Dogs Announce Roster Moves

The Saint John Sea Dogs announced a number of roster moves today.

19-year old forward Kelly Bent is no longer with the team after being claimed off waivers by the Halifax Mooseheads. In 103 career QMJHL games, the gritty forward has recorded five goals and five assists.

The Sea Dogs acquired Bent from the Gatineau Olympiques last year. Last season he registered four goals and two assists in 56 regular season games with Saint John.

Prior to Saint John and Gatineau, Bent was with the PEI Rocket.
Saint John has added another forward to their camp roster. 20-year old Taylor Fielding has been invited to training camp as a free agent. The 6’1”, 207 lbs right winger has played the past four years with the OHL’s Ottawa 67’s. Last season he registered five goals and 11 assists in 65 contests.

The Sea Dogs only have two other 20-year olds at camp – goaltender Sebastien Auger and forward Mark Tremaine.

The Dogs also announced today that free agent invite Ryan Migliaccio has been released by the team. The Kitchener native played in five games with the OHL’s Guelph Storm last season. Migliaccio recorded an assist in Saturday’s Sea Dogs pre-season loss in Dartmouth.

Saint John’s next pre-season game is on Friday night at Harbour Station against the Mooseheads.
