Sea Dogs Acquire Turcotte From Armada

The Sea Dogs made their first move of the trade period this morning.

The team traded their third round pick (46th overall) in this year’s draft to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in exchange for Marc-Antoine Turcotte and Drummonville’s fourth round pick (57th overall).

So, basically:
Turcotte, who will turn 20 on Sept. 9, is a 6’00”, 184 lbs goaltender from Châteauguay, Quebec. Last season he posted an 8-9 record to go along with a 2.17 goals against average and a .908 save percentage in 18 games.

Turcotte will presumably battle for the team’s No. 1 goaltender position along with Alex Bishop, Blade Mann-Dixon and whoever else shows up at training camp.

The trading period can be followed on the QMJHL website.
