REPORT: Marsh traded to Val-d'Or

UPDATE: This deal has been made official. The Sea Dogs have traded Adam Marsh and a 2016 fifth-round pick to Val-d'Or in exchange for a 2018 second-round pick and a 2016 fourth-round pick.

Adam Marsh has reportedly been traded to the Val-d’Or Foreurs.

As first reported by the Val-d’Or newspaper L’Echo Abitibien, the Sea Dogs have traded Marsh to Val-d’Or for a second round pick in 2018. Two other picks were also exchanged.
Marsh joined the Sea Dogs as a free agent signee in 2014-15, recording 24 goals and 20 assists in 60 games. He went on to be drafted in the seventh round of last year’s NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings.

Injuries forced Marsh to play in just 48 games with Saint John this year where he had 23 goals and 19 assists. He missed all of the Sea Dogs’ playoff run, not appearing in a game since March 6.

While the Chicago native was a scoring threat, he struggled with consistency.
