Sea Dogs apologize for pre-game music

The Saint John Sea Dogs issued a statement this morning regarding a song played during the team's entrance last night.

The statement was emailed to those on the team's mailing list and posted on the Sea Dogs' official Facebook page.

According to those who heard, this is the song that was played, which repeatedly drops f-bombs.

There were numerous complaints on the team's Facebook page following the playing of the song.

Adding to the problem was that this was a game where school vouchers could be redeemed with the purchase of an adult of senior ticket.

The Sea Dogs have a lengthy history of music/sound/PA incidents, dating all the way back to the Brett "The Hitman" Gallant and Mike "The Hammer" Thomas days. The music volume is an annual discussion at season ticket holder forums.

Last night's warm up music kicked off a disastrous night for the Sea Dogs, who lost 3-0 to the rival Shawinigan Cataractes in front of the largest home crowd of the season.
