Playoffs Game Day: Game 1 vs Oceanic

The Saint John Sea Dogs (48-14-5-1, 1st Maritimes, 1st QMJHL, 3rd CHL) host the Rimouski Oceanic (26-35-6-1, 6th East, 16th QMJHL) tonight in game one of the QMJHL's President Cup playoffs first round. Game time is 7 p.m. at Harbour Station.

Series status: This is the first game of the best-of-seven first round series between the Sea Dogs and Oceanic.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 2-1 win in Halifax on Saturday. Joe Veleno and Bokondji Imama had goals while Alex D'Orio made 23 saves in the win. The Oceanic are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss in Drummondville on Saturday. Tyler Boland scored Rimouski's lone goal while Alexandre Lagace made 24 stops in the loss.

2016-17 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 2-0-0-0 against the Oceanic in the regular season while Rimouski went 0-2-0-0 against Saint John.

Random stat: Rimouski's Tyler Boland, who finished second in league scoring with 103 points, had one goal in two games against Saint John during the regular season.
