Recap: Sea Dogs win 6-2

FINAL: Saint John 6, Blainville-Boisbriand 2
BOISBRIAND, Que. - A gruelling road trip got off to a pleasant start for the Saint John Sea Dogs on Saturday.

Nicholas Deakin-Poot netted a hat trick as the Sea Dogs defeated the St. John's Fog Devils Montreal Junior Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 6-2 to kick off a five-game Quebec road trip. It was Saint John's second straight road win and just their third win away from TD Station all season.

This was as strong a road as the Sea Dogs have played all year. Dawson Stairs, Ben Badalamenti and Matt Gould added singles while Zachary Bouthillier was busy again, making 40 saves in the victory.

Blake Richardson and Luke Henman scored for the Armada. Rookie Olivier Adam made 31 saves in the loss.

NOTES: Maxim Cajkovic played his first game since Oct. 11 due to injury. He recorded an assist in what was just his fourth game of the season... this was the second career QMJHL hat trick for Nicholas Deakin-Poot... Josh Lawrence had two assists... Saint John went with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
