The Saint John Sea Dogs are ranked No. 1 in the nation
again this week. The latest edition of the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings
were released this afternoon.
The Sea Dogs played three games this week – all at home –
and won each of them by a combined score of 18-6. Saint John defeated Moncton
5-3 last Tuesday, Prince Edward Island 8-1 on Friday, and Acadie-Bathurst 5-2
on Saturday.
Saint John has won 17 straight games and now owns an
overall record of 47-14-0-2. They have a five-point lead on the Shawinigan
Cataratces in the race for first place.
Other Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams in the Top
10 this week were the Cataractes at No. 4 and the Quebec Remparts at No. 8. The
Victoriaville Tigres were an honourable mention.
The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League’s Top
10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

The Sea Dogs were ranked No. 1 in Buzzing The Net’s Dynamic Dozen again this week.
Saint John has a tough schedule this week, playing a pair
of road games in Quebec. They are in Chicoutimi on Friday and Shawinigan
on Sunday.
