The Palais des Sports has gotten a major facelift over the
past few months as Sherbrooke prepares to to be home of a Quebec Major Junior
Hockey League team for the first time in almost 10 years.
Today, the Sherbrooke Phoenix showed off the renovations
for the first time. They posted a bunch of photos in an album on their Facebook page and it is looking quite nice.
The Sea Dogs visit Sherbrooke for the first time on
November 9. They’ll play there again on January 13.
According to Wikipedia, the rink played host to some handball
matches during the 1976 Olympics. So that’s cool.
