Charlie Coyle made quite an impact in his short time with
the Saint John Sea Dogs. After just seven games in the American Hockey League
he is making quite an impact with the Houston Aeros.
Coyle has five goals and an assist in seven AHL
contests. He has a total of 15 shots on goal and is also a +3
His latest offensive outburst came on Saturday night
against the Milwaukee Admirals where he netted two goals in Houston’s 4-0 win.
One of his goals was a thing of beauty.
Coyle’s six points place him 7th in AHL
rookie scoring behind the likes of Justin Schultz, Mikael Granlund, and Sven
Baertschi. His five goals place him 7th overall in league goal
scoring.
The Aeros have a young, talented lineup and currently sit
6th in the Western Conference with a 4-2-1-0 record. They are
4-0-1-0 in their last five games.
The other Sea Dogs connection playing in Houston, Zack
Phillips, has a goal and assist in six games.
Houston is back in action on Friday night when they
travel to Oklahoma City to take on the loaded Barons.
