Here’s why Ryan Tesink got a match penalty for
cross-checking in the final minutes of Saturday’s 6-2 loss in Baie-Comeau.
Yikes.
The Drakkar were leading 4-2 at the time of this penalty.
With Tesink in the box and 1:35 left, the penalty basically ended any hopes of a Saint John comeback. Baie-Comeau would score twice on the ensuing power play to
win 6-2.
Tesink has five goals and eight assists in 13 games this
season so any kind of suspension will certainly hurt the Sea Dogs.
