If you haven’t heard, Sea Dogs goaltender Sebastien Auger is expected to get the start in goal tonight for Team QMJHL in Game 2 of the Subway Super
Series. This according to multiple media people on the Twitter machine and this lovely pre-game video on the CHL website.
Halifax Mooseheads goaltender Zach Fucale started Monday’s
game, a game that saw Team QMJHL defeat Russia 3-2.
Tonight in Sherbrooke, Auger will get the start. He has
the Q’s best save percentage (0.919), leads the league in saves (684), and is
third in minutes played.
This is a big opportunity for Auger who will be playing
in front of the Hockey Canada staff, NHL scouts, and a national television
audience.
Tonight’s game begins at 8pm Atlantic and can be seen
live on Sportsnet.
