Anthony Mantha scored with less than five minutes left in
Game 1 of the 2013 Subway Super Series to give Team QMJHL a 3-2 victory over Russia.
Charles Hudon added two goals for the Q, playing in Gatineau.
Jonathan Drouin was Jonathan Drouin and setup all three goals. Zach Fucale picked
up the win in net.
Russian goals came from Moncton Wildcats forward Ivan
Barbashev and Vladimir Tkachev. Ivan Nalimov was in net.
The only Sea Dog taking part in the series in goaltender
Sebastien Auger. He was backup in this game but will presumably appear in
Wednesday’s Game 2 in Sherbrooke. Game time is 8pm and it can be seen on Sportsnet.
