HALIFAX – The Sea Dogs take on the Mooseheads in Halifax
tonight.
Saint John has lost back-to-back games and sit in the
basement of the Telus Maritimes Division and 17th overall in the Quebec
Major Junior Hockey League with a 6-13-0-2 record. They have also lost five straight on the road.
The Mooseheads are first in the Maritimes Division and
third overall in the league with a 15-8-0-0 record. They have won three
straight and are 8-2 in their last 10.
The Sea Dogs are struggling these days and gave up eight goals in Moncton on Thursday night. A win tonight against
the reigning champs would be huge. We’ll see what happens.

LAST GAMES
The Sea Dogs are coming off an 8-3 loss in Moncton on
Thursday night. Matthew Highmore, Noah Zilbert, and Jeremy Doucet scored for
Saint John in the loss. Antoine Landry made 31 saves.
The Mooseheads are coming off a 4-0 win over the Moncton
Wildcats last night at the Metro Centre. Jonathan Drouin, Andrew Shewfelt,
Brent Andrews, and Connor Moynihan scored for Halifax. Zach Fucale stopped all
25 shots he faced for the shutout.
Andrews’ goal was quite awesome.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Sea Dogs are 1-1-0-0 against the Mooseheads this
season while Halifax is 1-1-0-0 against Saint John.
Their last meeting was on October 12th in
Halifax where the Mooseheads defeated the Sea Dogs 3-0. Darcy Ashley, Timo
Meier, and Andrew Ryan scored in the game. Kevin Darveau made 21 saves for the
shutout victory while Sebastien Auger made 33 saves in the loss.
