the Victoriaville Tigres in a midweek road contest in Wednesday’s Quebec Major
Junior Hockey League action. The Tigres came out on top by a score of 2-1 at
the Colisée Desjardins.
SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without Jurij Repe (broken
hand), Connor Donaghey (shoulder), Michael Abbott (lower body), and Brett
Malone (healthy) on Wednesday night.
News 88.9 reported before the game that Repe could return
to the Saint John lineup as early as Friday. He has not played since November
25 due the Division 1 world juniors where he broke his hand.
THE START: The Sea Dogs had a better first period then
they did on Saturday against Sherbrooke, firing six shots on net. The Tigres were a bit sluggish at
the start of the game but had some good pressure on late. They had 11 shots with seven of them being dangerous. The score was 0-0 after one.
