On Saturday night he earned first star honours with 44 saves in a close 2-1 win over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, then claimed first star honours again on Sunday with 38 saves despite a 3-2 shootout loss to the Charlottetown Islanders.
Auger, a 19-year-old from St-Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC, is playing in his third QMJHL season with the Sea Dogs. In 56 games last season he posted 22 wins with a goals-against-average of 3.33 and a save percentage of .907.
What a goalie.
