The Drummondville Voltigeurs have
officially been eliminated from QMJHL post-season contention, meaning they will
be entered into the coin toss for the first overall pick in the draft, meaning
Saint John will have a chance to select first overall, meaning this is good
news for Sea Dogs land.
Saint John acquired the pick in the Olivier
LeBlanc deal with Cape Breton. The coin flip or draw or whatever will be between the Sea Dogs and Titan.
The Sea Dogs have selected first overall
four times in their history, including last year when they picked defenceman
Luke Green.
