Game Day 51: vs Screaming Eagles

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs are back in action tonight at Harbour Station.

Saint John will try and snap a five-game losing streak this evening against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Game time is 7 p.m.

Saint John has struggled at home all season, posting a league low six wins.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 12-29-7-2 for 33 points (6th Maritimes, 18th QMJHL) while the Screaming Eagles are 23-22-5-1 for 52 points (5th Maritimes, 12th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-2 home loss to the Charlottetown Islanders on Friday at Harbour Station. Ostap Safin and Luke Wilson scored for Saint John. Alex D'Orio was pulled after allowing four goals on 24 shots. Matthew Williams made 12 saves in relief. The Screaming Eagles are coming off a 5-4 overtime win over the Sherbrooke Phoenix last Saturday at Centre 200. Isiah Campbell, Adam McCormick, Mathias Laferriere, Declan Smith and Phelix Martineau scored for Cape Breton. Kyle Jessiman made 26 stops in the win.

2017-18 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 2-1-3-0 against the Screaming Eagles this season while Cape Breton is 4-2-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Jan. 31 at Harbour Station where the Screaming Eagles edged the Sea Dogs 3-2 in overtime. Gabriel Proulx, Shaun Miller and Egor Sokolov scored for Cape Breton. Aiden MacIntosh and Anthony Boucher scored for Saint John. Kevin Mandolese made 15 stops in the win. Alex D'Orio made 48 saves in the loss.
