RECAP: Sea Dogs win 6-4

FINAL: Charlottetown 4, Saint John 6
SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs had a big night at Harbour Station.

Maxim Cajkovic and William Poirier each scored twice to lead the Sea Dogs to a 6-4 victory over the Charlottetown Islanders on Friday.

Robbie Burt and Nicholas Deakin-Poot also scored. Underage defensemen Charlie DesRoches and William Villeneuve each had two assists while fellow 16-year-old Brady Burns had three helpers.

The big story of the night was in net. Alex D'Orio, who hasn't played since Nov. 30, got the start in net. The Sea Dogs are presumably trading D'Orio when the league's holiday trading period opens in the coming days - but crazier things have happened. Starting him on Friday was definitely an unexpected move.

D'Orio was solid in net, making 34 saves in the win.

Nikita Alexandrov, Derek Gentile, Daniel Hardie and Kevin Gursoy all scored for Charlottetown. Dakota Lund-Cornish made 31 stops in the loss.

Saint John erased a 2-0 first period deficit to earn the victory.
