Next Monday, the host Saint John Sea Dogs will face the Ontario Hockey League champion in the tournament's opening game. The contest will be Saint John's first since being eliminated in the opening round of the President Cup playoffs back on May 12.
Saint John's opponent could be determined as early as this evening. The Hamilton Bulldogs currently lead the OHL final 3-2 over the Windsor Spitfires. Game 6 takes place this evening in Windsor. A Game 7, if needed, would be Wednesday night in Hamilton.
The Western Hockey League representative could be determined tonight as well. The Edmonton Oil Kings carry a 3-2 lead heading into tonight's Game 6 against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The Shawinigan Cataractes were the first league champion to clinch a spot in the tournament when they won the franchise's first Quebec Major Junior Hockey League title on Saturday in Charlottetown.

Tues., June 21 – Game 2: Shawinigan vs. WHL at 7 p.m. AT

Fri., June 24 – Game 5: WHL vs. OHL at 7 p.m. AT
Sat., June 25 – Game 6: Saint John vs. Shawinigan at 5 p.m. AT
Sun., June 26 – Tie-Breaker, if necessary, at 5 p.m. AT
Mon., June 27 – Semi-Final at 7 p.m. AT
Wed., June 29 – Championship Final at 7 p.m. AT
Events surrounding the tournament begin this Saturday. The full schedule can be found on the Memorial Cup website. Further information will be announced at a press conference Tuesday morning at Market Square.
