- 2022 draft picks not on the camp list are defenseman Christophe Beaudoin (ninth-round), defenseman Anthony Biakabutuka (10th-round), defenseman Will Felicio (11th-round) and forward JJ Monteiro (12th-round). Felicio and Monteiro played US prep school hockey last season.
- One of Saint John's 2022 American draft picks, forward Jaden Duprey, is listed. The Vermont native spent last season at the Seacoast Performance Academy in New Hampshire.
- 19-year-old forward Coleman Jenkins, a 2020 American draft pick of the Sea Dogs, is included. According to Elite Prospects, the Mansfield, MA native is committed to the BCHL's Nanaimo Clippers for the upcoming season and the NCAA's Holy Cross Crusaders in 2023-24.
- 19-year-old invite Salvatore Bucaro was an 11th-round pick of Rimouski in 2019. He appeared in three games with the Oceanic in 2019-20.
- 18-year-old invite Alexis Cournoyer was a sixth-round pick of Drummondville in 2019. He played in one game with the Voltigeurs in 2019-20. He spent last season with the MHL's Grand Falls Rapids.
- 18-year-old invite Cael MacDonald was an eighth-round pick of Bathurst in 2020. He appeared in eight games with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens last season, recording an assist.
- 19-year-old invite Erik MacNiel was a seventh-round pick of North Bay in the 2019 OHL draft. MacNiel spent last season with the OJHL's Cobourg Cougars and Wellington Dukes.
- 17-year-old invite Jett McCullum was a sixth-round pick of Blainville-Boisbriand in 2020. The Moncton native spent last season in the OJHL with the Aurora Tigers and put up decent numbers for a defenseman (three goals and 20 points in 45 games).
- 18-year-old Brady Stone appeared in four pre-season games with the Sea Dogs last year. He spent last season with the MHL's Truro Bearcats.
- 18-year-old invite Jake Tracey was a sixth-round pick of Bathurst in 2020. He spent last season with the Fredericton Red Wings.
- A few notable names not included on the camp roster: Nicholas Blagden, Adam Bowness, Jacob Chantler and Olivier Picard. All four are overagers and would have been in tough to make the team. Blagden, based on his social media posts, is stepping away from playing hockey.
