Recap: Sea Dogs lose 7-2

BATHURST
- The Saint John Sea Dogs fell to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in pre-season play for a second straight night on Wednesday.

Nico Laforge and Chad Bellemare scored Saint John's only goals in a 7-2 loss to the Titan at the KC Irving Regional Centre. Justin Robinson played the entire game in net, making x stops in the loss.

Dominik Godin scored a pair of goals for Bathurst while singles came from Noah Ryan, Alexandre Lallier, Blake Pilgrim-Edwards, Izach Poirier and Joseph Henneberry. Mathis Lacroix-Goulet allowed two goals on 14 shots in the first 40 minutes. Jack Howatt stopped the three shots he faced in the third.

Gordie Dwyer's club outshot the Sea Dogs 34-17 in the game.

NOTES: Saint John Vito's goaltender Alex Myatt, who spent some time with the Sea Dogs last season, was the backup netminder in this game. He was not on Saint John's updated training camp roster... Nico Laforge had four shots... the Sea Dogs and Titan meet twice more this pre-season: Sept. 11 in Fredericton and Sept. 18 in Lameque, NB... this game, which was originally set to be played in Lameque, was free to attend... the game took an hour and 59 minutes to complete. Bless the pre-season.
