PREVIEW
SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to win their ninth straight game this afternoon against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. Game time at Harbour Station is 3pm.

The Sea Dogs enter action today with a record of 38-14-0-2 and sit first overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. They are currently in a tie with the Shawinigan Cataractes for first-place with 78 points. They are on a serious hot streak having won eight straight and nine of their last 10.

Saint John is 21-5-0-1 at Harbour Station this year and have outscored opponents 119-67.

The Titan enter play this afternoon with a record of 27-23-2-3 and sit third in the Maritimes Division and ninth overall in the league with 59 points.

Bathurst is 10-15-1-1 on the road this season and have been outscored 106-91.

PROMOTIONS
Today, the team will combine two popular annual themes, as the Journée des Francofans meets the Valentine's Day Spectacular at Harbour Station. The theme for the 3 p.m. game against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan is “From Saint John With Love.” Fans will be able to purchase bread, wine and cheese, there will be live music and mimes, and the first 400 female fans will receive a carnation courtesy of the Sea Dogs. In addition, Ganong Bros. Limited will be providing free chocolates.

The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-0 win over the PEI Rocket yesterday in Charlottetown. Jonathan Huberdeau had a hat trick and four points while Charlie Coyle and Danick Gauthier added the other Saint John goals. Tomas Jurco had four assists while Nathan Beaulieu added two. Mathieu Corbeil made 22 saves in net to earn his sixth shutout of the season.

The Titan are coming off a 4-2 win over the Rocket at the KC Irving Regional Centre on Friday. Christophe Lalancette had two goals while singles came from Etienne Salvail and Sebastien Trudeau. Robert Steeves made 21 saves in net for the victory. Bathurst went 4-for-6 on the power play.

The Sea Dogs are just 2-3-0-1 against the Titan this season while Bathurst is 4-2-0-0 against Saint John.

Their last meeting came on January 22 at the KC Irving Regional Centre when the Sea Dogs defeated the Titan 5-2.
