Saint John’s 2013-14 regular season begins on Friday night
in Moncton. Here are the 16 games we are most looking forward to this season.
Friday, September 13th at Moncton – the Sea
Dogs regular season opener. There’ll probably be some big time light show or
something awesome at the Coliseum.
Saturday, September 21st vs Bathurst – Saint John’s
home opener. Be there.
Sunday, September 22nd vs Charlottetown – the first
time the team known as the “Charlottetown Islanders” comes to Harbour Station.
Their jerseys are… yeah.
Tuesday, October 1st vs Halifax – the Sea Dogs
play the defending President Cup and Memorial Cup champions for the first time
this season.
Saturday, October 19th vs Quebec – it’s the
Remparts. Cody Donaghey vs Connor Donaghey. Also ‘Pink in the Rink’ night.
Sunday, October 20th vs Chicoutimi – Saint John
fans get their first look at the top pick in the QMJHL Entry Draft, Nicolas
Roy, going head-to-head against Nathan Noel. That is if Roy feels like playing
in the Maritimes.
Friday, October 25th at Baie-Comeau – this will
be the second stop on the Sea Dogs’ first Quebec road trip of the year. Strange
things always seem to happen when the Drakkar and Sea Dogs meet.
Saturday, November 16th at Gatineau – the Sea
Dogs return to the place where they won their first President Cup for the only
time this season.
December 28th/29th vs/at Moncton –
no New Year’s doubleheader this season so this will have to do. There will
still probably be big crowds at both games.
Thursday, January 9th at Rimouski – the Sea
Dogs return to the site where they won their second President Cup for the only
time this season.
Saturday, January 11th at Quebec – always interesting
to see how young teams play in front of 10,000+ at the Colisee Pepsi.
Wednesday, January 29th at Shawinigan – the Sea
Dogs make their only trip to Shawinigan this season. Saint John went 0-2-1-0
against the Cataractes last season and haven’t beat them since the final game
of round robin action at the 2012 Memorial Cup. #NeverForget
Thursday, February 20th vs Shawinigan – the Cataractes
make their only trip to Harbour Station this season. It would be so great if
the 2012 rivalry between these two could keep going.
Saturday, March 8th vs Halifax – final home
game of the regular season. It’s fan appreciation day so come feel appreciated.
Saturday, March 15th at Charlottetown – the final
game of the regular season. May or may not have meaning in the standings.
