The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Sebastien Auger of the Saint John Sea Dogs is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending September 22 after posting a 1-0-0-1 record with a goals-against-average of 1.44 and save percentage of .965.
Auger, who also won this award last September, claims the first weekly award of the season after making 82 saves in two starts and helping the Sea Dogs pick up three points in a pair of home games over the weekend. On Saturday night he earned first star honours with 44 saves in a close 2-1 win over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, then claimed first star honours again on Sunday with 38 saves despite a 3-2 shootout loss to the Charlottetown Islanders.
Auger, a 19-year-old from St-Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC, is playing in his third QMJHL season with the Sea Dogs. In 56 games last season he posted 22 wins with a goals-against-average of 3.33 and a save percentage of .907.

Sea Dogs are in Charlottetown for a rematch with the
Islanders on Friday night.
