This year’s Brunswick News Rivalry Cup format is really,
really basic. Like, really basic.
From the Sea Dogs:
The format is heading back to basics to the upcoming season; a single point will be awarded for a win of any type, with no points for a loss. The two teams will meet nine times this season, for a possible nine points up for grabs.
Thrilling stuff.
This will be the sixth time the season long event between
the Saint John Sea Dogs and Moncton Wildcats takes place. Moncton won in 2009,
2010, and again last year while Saint John won in 2011 and 2012.
This is by far the most basic format to be used for the
Rivalry Cup. Basically every year it has been stripped down further.

The Sea Dogs and Wildcats meet for the first time this
season tomorrow night at 7pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
