It is trade deadline day in the Quebec Major Junior
Hockey League.
The deadline is today at 1 pm Atlantic time. There are a few deals expected
to made official and there are sure to be some surprise moves as well.
Who will load up more? Who will blow up more? What’s the
deal with the veteran goaltenders? What’s Gatineau going to do? Will Team
Canada take Kunitz to play with Crosby? So, so many questions.
Of course, in Saint John, the big question is whether or
not the Sea Dogs will move one of the top goaltenders in the league – Sebastien
Auger. It’s been really quiet on the trade front for the Dogs so far but that
could change today. But it might not. We’ll see.
Saint John’s only move came on December 22nd
when the team acquired Nicolas Hebert from the Rimouski Oceanic for a fifth-round
pick.
