Marcus Cuomo has been picked up by the
Quebec Remparts.
The Remparts announced today that the
team has claimed the 19-year old forward off waivers from the Sea Dogs. The St.
John’s native was reassigned by Saint John last week.
Cuomo was a seventh-round pick of the
Sea Dogs in the 2012 QMJHL Entry Draft. He has spent the past two seasons with
Saint John, recording 10 goals and 20 assists in 116 career QMJHL games.
The Remparts, the host of the 2015
Memorial Cup, also feature former Sea Dogs forward Nicolas Hebert and
defenseman Alexander McQuaid.
Quebec opens the season on Friday in
Sherbrooke. The Remparts play in Saint John on October 26 and host the Sea Dogs on
November 12.
