The roster, which features three
goaltenders, eight defensemen, and 15 forwards, can be viewed here.
According to a Sea Dogs press release,
the roster features nine returning players, nine free agent signees, four QMJHL
draftees, three import draftees, and one player acquired via trade.
"We are happy with the speed,
skill, hockey sense and competitiveness of our team," said Sea Dogs
General Manager Darrell Young in a press release. "Since Day One of
training camp, we have seen a competitive nature to our team that will carry us
throughout the season and get us through the tough times.
"The coaching staff has done a
wonderful job of getting so many new faces to work together in such a short
period of time. Our goal for the season is a very simple one: Improve every
day. If we do that, we can accomplish a great deal."
With just nine returning players, the
team’s roster has scene a dramatic overhaul this off-season. It’ll be
interesting to see how the new players perform in the regular season. It’ll
also be interesting to see if roster tweaks will be made regularly during the season.
There is still at least one roster move to be made. The team must choose between either keeping Juraj Siska or Nikita Li for the long haul.
