Recap: Sea Dogs lose 4-1

FINAL: Charlottetown 4, Saint John 1
SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs' troubles with the Charlottetown Islanders continued on Friday night at TD Station.

The Sea Dogs fell to 0-3-1-0 against the Islanders this season with a 4-1 loss. Josh Lawrence scored Saint John's lone goal and Zachary Bouthillier made 27 stops.

Cedric Desruisseaux scored a pair of goals for Charlottetown while singles came from Brett Budgell and Liam Peyton. Matthew Welsh made 26 saves in the win.

These two teams meet again tomorrow night at TD Station.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without Ben Badalamenti (lower body), Julian Vander Voet (healthy) and Maxim Cajkovic (world juniors).

NOTES: The Sea Dogs dressed 11 forwards and seven defensemen for this game... Aiden MacIntosh was recalled from the MHL's Fredericton Red Wings and played his first QMJHL game since Nov. 14... defenceman Brendan Sibley played his first game of the season... Mike Eagles joined the Sea Dogs coaching staff behind the bench... Ethan Crossman was given a five-minute major and game misconduct in the first period for a charge on Josh Lawrence.
