Game Day 42: at Cape Breton

SYDNEY, NS - The Saint John Sea Dogs and Cape Breton Eagles play the second half of a home-and-home series tonight at Centre 200.

The Eagles had little trouble with the Sea Dogs on Wednesday at TD Station, earning a 7-2 win. It was Cape Breton's sixth straight victory.

Game time tonight is 7 p.m.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 20-20-1-0 for 41 points (fourth Maritimes, sixth Eastern, 11th QMJHL) while the Eagles are 23-13-2-1 for 49 points (second Maritimes, fourth Eastern, fifth QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs and Eagles met on Wednesday at TD Station where Cape Breton picked up a 7-2 victory. Egor Sokolov had a hat trick for Cape Breton while singles came from Ivan Ivan, Adam McCormick, Nathan Larose and Shawn Element. Josh Lawrence and Dawson Stairs scored for Saint John. Kevin Mandolese made 23 saves in the win. Zachary Bouthillier was pulled after allowing four goals on nine shots. Noah Patenaude made 23 stops in relief.
