Game Day 8: vs Islanders

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs' homestand continues this afternoon at TD Station.

After posting a 6-3 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies last night, the Sea Dogs host the Charlottetown Islanders today at 4 p.m. This is the third game of a stretch of six straight home contests for Saint John.

This is the first meeting of the year between the Sea Dogs and Islanders – meaning this will be the first time Jim Hulton will coach against his old club.

Charlottetown was expected to have a down year but have been putting up a fight so far this season. They are an impressive 5-2-2-0, which includes a 5-1 home win over the Drummondville Voltigeurs last night.

2026-27 regular season records: The Sea Dogs are 4-1-1-1 for 10 points (sixth Eastern/ninth QMJHL) while the Islanders are 5-2-2-0 for 12 points (second Eastern/fourth QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 6-3 home win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies last night. Jamie Glance scored twice while singles came from Alexis Joseph, Matyas Cancik, Ryan Howard and Zachary Morin. Samuel Meloche made 31 saves in the win. The Islanders are coming off a 5-1 home win over the Drummondville Voltigeurs last night. Aslan Tremblay scored twice for Charlottetown while singles came from Cameron Haye, Owen Conrad and Hudson Armstrong. Seth Ronan made 36 saves in the win.

2025-26 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 3-3-2-0 against the Islanders last season while Charlottetown went 5-3-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: March 15 in Charlottetown where the Islanders posted a 5-1 win. William Shields scored four goals for the Isles while Owen Conrad added a solo marker. Angelo Fullerton scored Saint John's lone goal. Donald Hickey made 21 stops in the win. Jase MacPherson made 34 stops in the loss.
