SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs won a third straight game on Saturday at TD Station.

Jabez Seymour, Jayden Connors and Jamie Glance all scored to help the Sea Dogs defeat the Moncton Wildcats 3-1. Samuel Meloche carried a shutout late into the third period and made 23 saves in the win.

This was Saint John's first regulation time win over the Wildcats at TD Station since March 25, 2022.

Connors, who was making his QMJHL debut, collected his own rebound off the backboards and beat Moncton goaltender Jacoby Weiner with a backhand shot at 2:01 of the third period to give Saint John a 2-0 advantage.

The Wildcats made it a one-goal game with 1:17 remaining and with Weiner on the bench. But that would be as close as Moncton would get as Glance iced the game with an empty goal from centre ice.

Weiner made 28 stops in the loss. Myles Brosnan scored Moncton's lone goal.

The Wildcats have now lost four straight games as their scoring woes continue.
