All Saint John fans are reminded and encouraged to bring canned food for this game as part of the Rivalry Cup challenge. Whichever team brings in the most based on weight, wins five points in the season long challenge.

All donations will go the Saint John Romero House.

“When the poor and hungry stand to benefit, a little rivalry can be a good thing,” said the editorial in today’s Telegraph-Journal.

The Sea Dogs and Ganong’s Chocolates have partnered to help present the first ever “Irish Night” at Harbour Station. This was one of the theme nights that was suggested by a fan this summer in the Sea Dogs’ pick-a-promotion contest.

It is also IRISH NIGHT! So wear your green, bring along your pot of gold, and come cheer on your Saint John Sea Dogs! We'll have great giveaways all night from your Saint John Sea Dogs and Ganong's!

Don't forget, we offer hard liquor on the concourse as well as beer, and for one night: BEER WILL BE GREEN!

FIRST PART OF FAN CHALLENGE TONIGHT
There will be lots of Moncton Wildcat fans in the house tonight. That has Wildcats general manager Bill Schurman feeling confident in his team’s portion of the fan challenge. The challenge is to see which team can bring the most fans into the opposing team’s arena. Two points are up for grabs as part of the Rivalry Cup.

"We have one fan bus going there for this game,'' said Schurman to the Times & Transcript. "We're not sure how many we'll have there in total.

"It's going to be a challenge because we understand that Harbour Station is sold out. It's a scenario whereby we're not sure how many of our fans managed to get tickets before they sold out.''

"Hats off to Saint John for selling out (tonight's) game,'' said Schurman. "We're looking forward to a good event both on and off the ice. We have a four-point lead on them for the Rivalry Cup with two games remaining against each other.

"We should be able to match them on attendance (when they make their final trip into our building) and obviously our games against each other have been very close. I expect the Rivalry Cup to come down to our final meeting.''
