History Tells Us That Game 1 Is Very Important For Saint John

SAINT JOHN – Although the Sea Dogs have only made the playoffs five times in their brief history, some patterns have emerged.

One thing that sticks out – their record when winning the first game of a series. Saint John has played in 15 playoffs series (which includes the Memorial Cup tournament). Of those 15 playoff series, the Sea Dogs won the first game 12 times. They went on to win all 12 of those series.

Saint John has lost the first game of a series three times. They lost all three of those series.

Here’s a fancy table with the details.
