Two Saint John Sea Dogs had strong
showings in the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game tonight in St. Catharines.
Nathan Noel had a goal and a +1 rating
while Thomas Chabot was a +3 in Team Orr’s 6-0 blowout victory over Team Cherry. The annual event features the top NHL Draft prospects from the CHL.
Noel’s goal came at 10:36 of a four-goal
third period for Team Orr. The Sea Dogs forward, who was in front of the net, put in the rebound of a Ryan Gropp shot past Team Cherry netminder Liam Herbst, making it 5-0 at the time.

Chabot, although held pointless, had a
very strong game defensively and looked calm and poised with the puck throughout. He was paired with Sherbrooke’s Jeremy Roy and drew compliments from the
Sportsnet crew during the match.
It was a good game for some other Team Orr QMJHL representatives.
Halifax’s Timo Meier had a goal and two assists and Nicolas Roy added a helper.
The Sea Dogs are back in action tomorrow
night against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at 7:30 p.m. at Harbour Station.
