Game Day 10: at Val-d'Or

The Saint John Sea Dogs' (6-2-1-0) five-game road trip comes to an end tonight in Val-d'Or with an 8 p.m. meeting with the Foreurs (5-5-0-0).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 4-2 win in Rouyn-Noranda last night. Luke Green, Samuel Leblanc, Cedric Pare and Mathieu Joseph all scored for Saint John while Alex Bishop made 18 saves in the win. The Foreurs are coming off a 4-2 loss to Drummondville yesterday. Maxim Mizyurin and Simon Lafrance scored for Val-d’Or while Dereck Baribeau made 28 stops in the loss.

2016-17 head-to-head: This is the first meeting of the season between the two.

2015-16 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 1-1-0-0 against the Foreurs last season while Val-d’Or went 1-1-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Feb. 20 in Val-d’Or where the Foreurs defeated the Sea Dogs 6-2. Julien Gauthier had two goals for the Foreurs while singles came from Olivier Galipeau, Anthony Richard, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Filip Pyrochta. Jakub Zboril and Adam Marsh both scored for Saint John. Etienne Montpetit made 28 stops in the win. Marc-Antoine Turcotte allowed six goals on 39 shots while Alex Bishop faced three shots in 6:01 of action.
