Spengler Cup, WJC begin today

Sit back, relax and enjoy plenty of international hockey on television today.

Chris DiDomenico and Team Canada begin Spengler Cup play today at 3:15 p.m. against HC Dinamo Minsk. The game can be seen on TSN5.

DiDomenico is entering his third Spengler Cup tournament with Team Canada. He helped the squad win gold last year.

The Spengler Cup comes to an end on New Year's Eve.

The World Junior Hockey Championship also begins today, of course. There will be four games taking place: Sweden takes on Denmark at 2 p.m., the United States faces Latvia at 4:30 p.m., the Czech Republic battles Finland at 6 p.m. and Canada wraps up the day with a 9 p.m. matchup against Russia. All games are on TSN.

Canada features Sea Dogs defenceman Thomas Chabot and forward Mathieu Joseph while defenceman Jakub Zboril is on the Czech squad.
