Game Day 34: at Charlottetown

CHARLOTTETOWN - The Saint John Sea Dogs and Charlottetown Islanders play the second half of a home-and-home tonight at Eastlink Centre.

The two teams met yesterday afternoon at TD Station where Saint John scored two power play goals, a shorthanded goal, an empty net goal and a couple even strength goals in a 6-3 victory, ending a three-game losing streak and a six-game home losing streak.

The Islanders, meanwhile, have now dropped three straight and will look to turn things around on home ice tonight.

The Sea Dogs were a better road team than home team in the first half, sporting a 7-7-2-0 record away from TD Station. We'll see if they can maintain that pace in the second half, beginning tonight.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 13-18-2-0 for 28 points (ninth Eastern/17th QMJHL) while the Islanders are 16-12-1-5 for 38 points (fourth Eastern/eighth QMJHL).

Olivier Groulx scored twice for Saint John while singles came from Dylan Rozzi, Alexander Donovan, Everett Baldwin and Angelo Fullerton. Alexis Beaulieu netted a pair for Charlottetown and Dylan MacKinnon had the other. Justin Robinson made 34 stops in the win. Affiliate Hudson Bradley made 23 stops in the loss.

2025-26 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 2-1-1-0 against the Islanders this season while Charlottetown is 2-2-0-0 against Saint John.
