| Jeff Parsons/Newfoundland Regiment |
The Newfoundland Regiment make their first ever appearance at TD Station this afternoon. While it's the Regiment's first trip, the team still features plenty of players from its days as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan – a team that is very familiar with Saint John.
This is the third straight season the Sea Dogs will face the Regiment/Titan franchise on New Year's Eve. The two, who have faced each other just twice this season, will play each other three times over the next couple weeks.
Gordie Dwyer's squad had a two-game winning streak come to an end last night in Moncton. The Sea Dogs, meanwhile, have secured at least a point in each of their last three games.
Game time for this New Year's Eve matinee is 2 p.m.
