Peddle scored the overtime winner and added an assist to help the Charlottetown Islanders defeat the Saint John Sea Dogs 4-3. It was the second straight meeting between the two after the Sea Dogs defeated the Islanders 6-3 in Saint John on Sunday.
The Sea Dogs tied the game at 3-3 early in the third when Justin Gendron caught Islanders goaltender Donald Hickey out of position. Saint John had a couple power plays to work with in the third and nearly won it on a scramble in the crease in the final few seconds of the period. Those missed opportunities came back to bite Saint John.
Alexander Donovan and Matthew Krayer also scored for Saint John, who led 2-1 early in the second period. Rafaël Courchesne made 30 stops in the loss.
Along with Peddle, Jabez Seymour, Ross Campbell and CJ Watroba scored for Charlottetown. Hickey made 29 stops in the win.
The Sea Dogs have now earned points in each of their past three games, which includes a couple of overtime losses.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without forward Olivers Murnieks (IIHF World Junior Championship) and Angelo Fullerton (injured or sick) along with defensemen Cameron Chartrand (injury).
NOTES: Saint John went with 11 forwards and seven defensmen. Forward Angelo Fullerton was a late scratch and was listed as injured of sick. Defenseman Patryk Zubek reentered the lineup, wearing Fullerton's No. 81... four of Jabez Seymour's five goals this season have come against Saint John... Alexander Donovan has goals in back-to-back games... Matthew Krayer scored his first goal since Nov. 21...
