There is a ridiculous amount of world junior hockey on
today, and it all gets rolling with Team Canada taking on Team Finland at
4:30pm today. TSN’s pre-game show begins at 4pm.
Here are the expected line combos for Team Canada, as
tweeted by TSN’s Bob McKenzie.
Schwartz – Scheifele – Gallagher
Huberdeau – Strome – Stone
Howden - Freddie Hamilton - Smith-Pelly
Bournival – Jenner - Connolly
Pearson
Gormley-Dougie Hamilton
Harrington-Murray
Oleksiak-Pysyk
Beaulieu
Mark Visentin is expected to start in goal. Should be interesting.
The other games today: Latvia vs Sweden at 6:30pm,
Denmark vs USA at 9pm, and Switzerland vs Russia at 11pm. All three of these
games can be seen on TSN2.
Some stuff:
- Buzzing The Net examines the changes to Canada’s line combos.
- CTV Montreal has an article about the three Canadiens prospects playing for Team Canada.
- The Hockey Writers’ Slovakia preview.
- Puck Worlds has a Team Canada preview, medal predictions and a preview of today’s action.
- Puck Daddy’s WJC viewing guide. Tomas Jurco is listed as one of the players to watch.
- In TSN's world junior preview show, Sea Dogs forward Charlie Coyle was named the No. 4 player to watch at this year's tournament. Nifty stuff.
