Canada’s under-17 development camp came to an end
yesterday.
Sea Dogs prospect Julien Tessier scored in Team Green’s
5-1 win over Team Black. Tessier also picked up a slashing penalty in the
second period.
Tessier finished the camp with one goal in three games.
Team Green lost their first two games by scores of 5-1.
Luke Green’s Team Blue lost their final game of camp
yesterday, falling 4-3 to Team Gold. Green was held pointless in three games
but did pick up four penalty minutes in an 8-1 loss on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Canada’s under-18 selection camp is under way
in Calgary. Sea Dogs forward Nathan Noel is taking part and is on Team White.
Team White got off to a rough start, losing their opening
game 6-0 to Team Red on Sunday. White rebounded yesterday but still lost 3-2.
Noel was held pointless in both games but did pick up a roughing penalty on
Monday.
White faces Red again today. The Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament begins
next Monday in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
