Saint John pre-game notes:

• Will Johnston will make his Saint John Sea Dogs debut. He practiced with the team yesterday and will wear number 24 tonight. "I've been given the chance to play hockey and show that I'm not only a fighter,'' the 19-year-old winger said after Tuesday's practice with the Sea Dogs. "That's what I want to prove to people.''


• Stephen MacAulay will miss tonight's game with an undisclosed injury. He left mid-way through Thursday's game in Moncton and did not return.


• Jonathan Huberdeau will not play tonight after returning from the World Under-17 Hockey Championships in Ontario. He will play this weekend.


• Wayne Long is expecting 4,500 fans tonight - which is the January 2 make-up game.
