SAINT JOHN - For the second straight day, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has postponed today’s game at Harbour Station versus the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
Yesterday’s Rivalry Cup game at Harbour Station was also cancelled after a major snow storm dumped close to 50 centimeters in the Saint John and Moncton areas. The same amount of snow if not more was expected to pour over northern New Brunswick.
Bathurst’s game yesterday at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre against Halifax was also cancelled by the QMJHL.
Fans with tickets to both the Saturday or Sunday games may redeem them at the make-up contest or exchange them for a match of their choice within a to-be-determined timeframe. Further details will be announced soon.
According to CHSJ, the Moncton Wildcats left on their team bus to Saint John yesterday afternoon but quickly turned around as the conditions were growing worse.
Makeup dates for both games will be announced in the near future.
This is the second home game and third game to be postponed in Sea Dogs franchise history. The Sea Dogs, however, caught a bit of luck with both teams being provincial rivals and only a short drive away.
