Former Saint John Sea Dogs goaltender Charlie Millen made 23 stops in the
Blainville-Boisbriand Armada’s 5-3 loss to the Halifax Mooseheads on Thursday night at the Metro Centre.
The Sea Dogs officially placed Millen on waivers last Saturday, allowing any other team in the Quebec Major Junior
Hockey League to pick him up.
Millen was backup to William Raciot on Wednesday in the
Armada’s 3-2 overtime win in Moncton. The 18-year old
Peterborough made his first start on Thursday.
Millen joins Racicot and Etienne Marcoux as netminders on
the Armada’s roster. Marcoux has not played since September 16 because of an
injury.
A free agent invite to Sea Dogs
training camp, Millen had his struggles in his brief time with the club. He had
a 0-2-0-0 record with a 5.38 goals against average and a 0.831 save percentage.
He played in three games for the Gatineau Olympiques last year, going 1-2-0-0
with a 2.47 GAA and a 0.838 save percentage.
