One thing we’ve learned this season – Baie-Comeau Drakkar
fans are a crazy bunch.
When they aren’t throwing chicken wings, dressing up like
babies, or rowing their imaginary boat, they are doing the above - tossing crabs. A crab was thrown onto the Sea Dogs side of the ice before last night’s opening faceoff. Nobody was harmed (except for... y'know).
The Henry Leonard Centre was rocking last night until
late in the third period when Saint John took a two-goal lead. It sounded like
there were more horns than people at the game.
On a somewhat-but-not-completely-related note, we’ve been
thinking about slogans lately. If Halifax is “Moose Country” and Moncton is “Wildtown,”
does that make Saint John “Sea World?”
No slogan needed ..other than Champions ;)
