Nathan Beaulieu scored in last night’s scrimmage at Team Canada’s National Junior Team Development Camp in Edmonton.
Each period was counted as a game and the team with the most wins by nights end got to practice second this morning. Beaulieu scored in the first period as Team Red beat Team White 2-1, according to Hockey Canada’s Twitter feed.
Beaulieu finished off a nice passing play and beat the Team White goaltender five-hole. Highlights can be found over at TSN.ca.
Team Red, which features Beaulieu and his Saint John Sea Dogs teammate Jonathan Huberdeau, won the event.
According to TSN, Huberdeau had a goal and an assist.
Beaulieu was paired with Mark Pysyk of the Edmonton Oil Kings. Jonathan Huberdeau played wing on a line with Ryan Johansen and Patrick Holland. Mark Stone, who has been playing with Huberdeau and Johansen, didn't play.
Both squads are practicing today.
